Visit from Jules (Farm Link)

On Tuesday 17th March, Jules from Packington Farm Education came to deliver workshops to Nursery, Reception and Year 1.

In Nursery, Jules talked to the children about the different animals that live on a farm and how they are cared for. The children took part in an activity where they worked together to create a model farm.

In Reception, Jules read the story ‘The Little Red Hen’. Hetty the hen also came to visit the children! Jules explained how wheat is harvested and processed into flour which is turned into bread or cereal that we can eat. The children were really engaged during the session and asked lots of thoughtful questions.

In Year 1, Jules looked at the topic of healthy eating. The children thought about different examples of healthy and unhealthy foods. They also had a tasting session- tasting different fruits and vegetables.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Jules!
