KS1 visit to The National space Centre 21.04.26

On Tuesday 21st April, KS1 visited The National Space Centre in Leicester. We had a fantastic day full of lots of ‘hands on’ learning experiences. We started the day with a visit to the Planetarium where the children learnt about ‘Night and Day’. Following this, we spent time engaging in all of the interactive displays and workstations on the lower level of the Space Centre.
After lunch, we climbed all 144 steps to the top platform of the Rocket Tower! It was a great view from the top!
As part of our History topic this half-term, the children are learning about significant people in history, including Neil Armstrong and Mae Jemison. The children enjoyed finding out information about these famous astronauts.
We were really proud of how our children represented our school during the visit. Well done KS1!
