Sponsored Walk- Jessie’s Journey

On Friday afternoon, we came together for a very special collective worship. Miss Deakin and Miss McManus shared with us the final total raised by our sponsored walk. We raised an amazing £3081!!!

Thank you so much for all of your donations and a huge thank you to the children that took part. Miss Deakin shared that we had walked 813 miles in total, the same distance as it is from Polesworth to Barcelona!

The money raised has been equally divided between Jessie’s Journey and our school funds ready for OPAL resources.

Jessie’s mum was invited into school to collect a cheque on behalf of Jessie’s Journey. Danielle spoke about the amazing work that the charity does to support families affected by cancer. Jessie and her brother Max also rang the bell to celebrate the end of Jessie’s treatment. The whole school then came together to dance to one of Jessie’s favourite songs! We are so proud of you Jessie!

It was a wonderful celebration and a lovely way to end the week.
